The Course
Welcome to one of Ireland’s Premier Links Golf Courses – beautifully located in the remote and tranquil setting of Donabate and Malahide, Dublin. As the name suggests, here you enjoy playing golf in a unique setting, with the sea surrounding you on three sides, complemented by rugged terrain and some of the highest sand dunes along the east coast.
Just north of Portmarnock, the course was established in 1890 and invites endless opportunities for some excellent shots. There are many superb holes – from the extremely tough opening hole Partridge Hollow, to Boulia Field, one of the finest finishing holes on any links and played almost to the limit of par fours.
The Island Golf Club was ranked 13th in Golf Digest Ireland’s Top 100 Courses in 2015 and enjoys a growing international reputation.
